CALLS TO ACTION: We ask what we can do for our country

Our American tradition not only allows us, but also compels us to take direct action when there is evidence of subversion of our "government by the people."

  1. We call for a comprehensive investigation of the 2000 US presidential election.
  1. We call upon individuals to tell your Representatives, Senators, newspapers, radio & TV stations, and other friends and neighbors what really happened in Election 2000 and what we need to do about it.
  2. We call upon citizens to show nonviolent civil disrespect and civil disobedience where needed and appropriate. We respectfully demand that our elected representatives consider all of the Bush administration’s legislative proposals, executive orders, judicial nominations, and other actions to be illegitimate.
  3. We call upon the media to provide continuous, comprehensive, unbiased coverage of all matters relating to Election 2000 and the Bush/Cheney regime.
  4. We respectfully demand prosecution to the fullest extent of the law of all individuals and groups who intimidated vote counters in Miami-Dade County, on the grounds of rioting, trespassing, vandalism, interfering with voting rights, and obstruction of justice. We respectfully demand prosecution of all those who are guilty of ballot tampering, vote fraud, and conspiracy to commit vote fraud.
  5. We call upon the American people to elect Senators and Representatives in 2002 who are committed to mitigating and undoing the damage of the 2000 election. This will make it possible for us to then call for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney and for the dismissal of all of their appointees.
  6. We call upon all Americans to reform the American electoral system by means of standardizing national voting systems, eliminating winner-take-all results, instituting systems to count all votes accurately, and providing incentives for involvement of previous non-voters.

We call the American people to action, to protect our democracy.
